St. Francis Healthcare System’s adult day care programs were recently voted the best adult day care programs in the state by Honolulu Star-Advertiser readers. Over 500,000 Star-Advertiser readers voted for their favorite local businesses in a multitude of categories. “It’s an honor for St. Francis to be named first place in this important part of the continuum of care,” said Melissa Ah Ho-Mauga, Vice President -Client Services. “The teams at both of our adult day care programs in Manoa and Ewa Beach work very hard to constantly look at ways to serve as stronger teams and to improve service for our participants and their family caregivers.” Melissa acknowledged the diligence and humble commitment to continuous learning from Raquel Ramos-Sao, who manages the adult day care program at the St. Francis Intergenerational Center in Ewa Beach, and Jacqueline “Jacquie”Manaole, who leads the adult day care program in Manoa, which is located on the grounds of St. Francis School. “Like Saint Marianne, we do not seek to be recognized or need accolades,” Melissa added. “We know that caregiving is a big responsibility and we simply want to be a partner and resource for families.”
