Dana Wineland O’Rourke was a sixth-grade student at St. Anthony School in Monongahela, PA in 1970. She recently wrote an article about one of her favorite teachers, S. Alice Dunlop. The article, Special Teachers Plant Seeds That Bloom Forever appears on the website of Luminari, a Pittsburgh nonprofit. When Dana reached her 60s, she included S. Alice on her bucket list as a person she wanted to thank for making a positive difference in her life. She says, “S. Alice always managed to find a way to let your light shine.” Her dream of a reunion came true when S. Alice invited Dana and her husband to visit The Waters. “She was everything I knew she would be and more,” says Dana.

Alice and Dana continue the blessing of their friendship by keeping in touch.
