Sister Pat Bergan received the Humanitarian Award from Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Syracuse during their May 9 annual House of Providence Dinner. As parish associate at St. Lucy’s Church, Sister Pat was honored for her work with and for people in need on the Near West Side of Syracuse. In addition to her parish ministry, Sister Pat is an active member of various community coalitions.
Earlier this year, Sister Pat was featured in a photography exhibit at ArtRage Gallery in Syracuse in recognition of her lifetime commitment of work for peace and justice. May God continue to bless Sister Pat, as she continues to share her Franciscan spirit with the poor and overlooked.
