Sister Concetta DeFelice was inducted into Pavilion Central School’s Hall of Fame at an annual dinner June 1 at the western New York school hall. She was honored for her more than 40 years of contributions to education as well as her personal achievements and accomplishments, and her positive impact upon her Sisters of St. Francis community.

Sister shared with the students of her alma mater her own teaching and learning experiences. She answered the many questions they asked based on her encouraging them to develop and share the many talents that God gave them. Her tour of the school gave her many insights as to the quality of education offered at the school. And she sampled breakfast and lunch offerings served by students from the Home Economics classes.

The was held in a banquet hall adjacent to the school. Many former students, parents of current students and many alumni as well as family attended the Induction Dinner event held in the hall near the school. Pictures of S. Concetta and another honoree taken from yearbooks were projected on the wall. The pictures of the sports and extracurricular activities had names attached, so viewers didn’t have to guess who was who!

The audience received enthusiastically S. Concetta’s reception speech in which she verified the excellent academic features of the school’s present teachers and curriculum. She ended by thanking the Pavilion community for their contribution to her own life choices and development.
