Saint Marianne Cope’s Remains Return to Hawaii

Through great deliberation and prayer, the Sisters of St. Francis have determined that the remains of St. Marianne Cope will return to Hawaii. The Diocese of Honolulu is in the process of renovating Our Lady of Peace Cathedral in Honolulu and will be building a special reliquary chapel to house the relics of both St. Marianne and St. Damien. However, a first class relic of St. Marianne will remain in Syracuse, N.Y. in her original reliquary for veneration at the new shrine and museum.
