S. Joette Ebert says Farewell to Volunteer

For several years, S. Joette has been volunteering at S.O.M.E. (So Others May Eat), a Washington, D.C. organization that provides meals, housing, clothing and healthcare to people in the capital region who are experiencing homelessness. She loves the ministry, the people she serves and her fellow volunteers. This week, she will be saying farewell to a great young man who she says, “has been a pretty spectacular volunteer for the last eight months.” He is a Salesian novice, their first in 25 years, who is heading to Kenya next week. “We’ve had so much fun, amidst slicing and dicing and peeling and serving and trying to find the darn aluminum foil. “This corner of the Kingdom has been blessed,” says Joette
