Prayer Ministry
Prayer rooted in faith, springs from our response to God’s love for us and is the foundation of our spiritual life, our relational commitment and our service in ministry. For the Sisters of St. Francis there is no end or retirement from the ministry of prayer. It is a ministry taken seriously and most especially by sisters retired from active ministry.

Prayers
From The Canticle of the Creatures – St. Francis of Assisi
Praise be you, my Lord, with all your creatures, especially Sir Brother Sun, who is the day and through whom you give us light. And he is beautiful and radiant with great splendor; and bears a likeness of you, Most High One.
Prayer to St. Marianne Cope
Lord Jesus, you gave us your commandment of love of God and neighbor, and identified yourself in a special way with the most needy of your people, hear our prayer … which we confidently ask of you so that the people of God, following the inspiration of the life and apostolate of St. Marianne, may practice charity towards all according to your word and example. Amen.
St. Francis prayer
Most High, Glorious God, enlighten the darkness of my heart, and give me correct faith, sure hope and perfect charity, with understanding and knowledge, Lord, so that I may fulfill your holy and true command. Let us bless the Lord God living and true! Let us always render him. Praise, glory, honor, blessing and every good. Amen. Amen. So be it. So be it.
Prayer to the Virgin Mary
Holy Virgin Mary, there is no one like you among women. Daughter and handmaid of the Most High Supreme King and Father in heaven, mother of our Most Holy Lord Jesus Christ, spouse of the Holy Spirit, pray for us.
Prayer for World Day for Consecrated Life
By Evelyn Dettling, OSB
Gracious God of Life and Love, we give you thanks for countless women and men from ages past unto this very day who, enflamed with your love, consecrate their hearts to you while they pour out their lives in service for all your people, especially those most in need.
Continue, through the power of your Holy Spirit and the example of these dynamic men and women, to draw others to dedicate themselves to you in Consecrated Life for the sake of the Gospel.
In a world at times cold and dark, may all those consecrated to you be ever living flames of love and light.
Amen
