The Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities urge you to join us, along with mayors and those of all faiths in praying for the more than 100,000 souls lost during the coronavirus pandemic. At noon on Monday, June 1, please take a moment to bow your head in prayer for the dead and those left mourning their loss. It is our duty as religious people to remember those who have passed and to honor their lives.

We also ask that you recognize that there are those who are more vulnerable than others to the pain and suffering brought about by the disease and its impact — the elderly, people of color, those who struggle financially, the doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals working directly with the sick and dying, and the first responders such as police, firefighters and paramedics.

And let us continue to do what we can to control the spread of the disease by wearing masks and social distancing.
