“I do not think of reward. I am working for God and do so cheerfully.”
– St. Marianne Cope
Our sisters minister at all levels in education and religious education; health care; care of the elderly, dying and homeless; pastoral care; social services; justice education; the missions; retreat and prayer ministry; immigration; the environment and others as needs arise. We serve in 12 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, as well as in Kenya and Peru.
To ensure that our legacy of serving others with reverence, justice and compassion continues for generations to come, the Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities established Partners in Franciscan Ministries (PFM) in 2011. Through the corporation, the congregation ensures that its mission and charism will continue in the Church and in the world for years to come.

As a congregation we have responded to the needs of the church beyond the United States. Sisters currently minister in Timau, Kenya, East Africa and in Lima, Peru.
Prayer rooted in faith, springs from our response to God’s love for us and is the foundation of our spiritual life, our relational commitment and our service in ministry. For the Sisters of St. Francis there is no end or retirement from the ministry of prayer. It is a ministry taken seriously and most especially by sisters retired from active ministry.
