Central New York’s Jubilee Celebration joyfully honored S. Grace Michael Souza, 70 years; Sisters Francis James Paris and Maureen Marion, 50 years; and S. Lastenia Pax Reina, 25 years, on Saturday, June 6.
Through the marvels of technology, S. Lastenia joined us from Peru to celebrate! Unfortunately, S. Francis James was hospitalized Jubilee morning, so we held her in spirit and prayed for her recovery. We also prayerfully remembered our Jubilarians in Hawaii as well as our celebrants in heaven. Also taking part with us was Father Robert Amrheim, OFM, Conv., who joined the Villa family just in time for 70th Jubilee celebration.
The Handbell Choir and S. Donna McGartland on guitar enhanced our celebratory music, which was under the direction of S. Terri Laureta. Our leadership team took part in the readings and S. Ann Bremmer invited the Jubilarians and all Sisters to renew their vows. S. Margaret Christi Karwowski gave us a beautiful reflection.
Following the Liturgy, we all enjoyed a festive and delicious meal that the Villa staff prepared. S. Eleanore Therese Vargas provided the inspiration for the dining room decorations.
We thank S. Norise Kaiser and all who helped to prepare our 2026 Jubilee!
