Beginning on this day through Feb. 8, the feast of St. Josephine Bakhita, the Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities encourage you to pray for the millions of people around the world caught in modern-day slavery.

St. Josephine Bakhita was born in southern Sudan in 1869. As a young girl, she was kidnapped and sold into slavery. She was treated brutally by her captors as she was sold and resold.

We invite you to use this prayer calendar created by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange to guide you in your daily prayer to end the pain of human trafficking.
