Week of Commemoration – International Holocaust Remembrance Day is Jan. 27
Holocaust Memorial Day encourages
remembrance in a world scarred by genocide.
The 27th of January marks the anniversary of
the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau,
the largest Nazi death camp.
Together we bear witness for those who
endured genocide, then and since, throughout
the world ~ Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia,
Darfur, Ukraine. We honor the survivors
and all those whose lives were changed
beyond recognition.
Sister Martha Torbik has prepared a prayer for each day to commemorate this week of remembrance.
