Four Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities celebrated their 70th and 50th anniversaries in religious life on Saturday, May 19. Sister Coleman Conroy celebrated her 70 year anniversary, while Sisters Genevieve Kovalesky, Jonathan Lunskis and Bernadette Schaad celebrated 50 years.

Sisters celebrated during a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Thanksgiving at the Mount Alvernia chapel. In her welcome to sisters and their guests, Sister Barbara Jean Donovan, general minister, acknowledged Sister Anne Jena, who passed away May 8 and would have celebrated 80 years of service this year

Father Scott Seethaler, OFM Cap, chaplain at Mount Alvernia, was the celebrant. In his homily, Father Scott paid tribute to the sisters for living an others-centered life in a self-centered world. “Well done, sisters,” he said. “Thank you for your lifetime of service.” Afterwards, jubilarians and their guests enjoyed a dinner in the Mount Alvernia dining room followed by a reception.
