Our Congregation has chosen to make September 15, feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, a special day of prayer, fasting, and advocacy for action, as we reflect upon and pray together for the many persons in our nation and beyond: immigrants, refugees, those escaping life-threatening situations, whose safety, livelihood, and family integrity are being impacted by current national legal regulations. Recent information has revealed as well that Native American women can be included in this prayer: they are at risk, as many have been reported as just “disappeared.”

The God who revealed to us in Jesus the Divine All-Inclusive Love, gave to Jesus an earthly mother–who willingly allowed her own heart to be broken to give him humanity and the opportunity to model for us the example of Love That Knows No Limits.  As we focus in this prayer of the Seven Sorrows Rosary on Mary’s Sorrows, we find in her experiences, sorrows shared by many of our sisters and brothers today.

Please use the attached documents for the prayer service and to say the Seven Sorrows Rosary.
