Sister Helen Fights Pornography

At 95 years of age and after years of teaching, Sister Helen Buscarino says she “just wants to do something good.” When she read an article about the negative effects that online pornography has on today’s young people and how it contributes to human trafficking, she took action — asking her New York State senator to promote a resolution designating pornography as a public health hazard. “A resolution could do a lot to raise awareness about how much of a problem this is,” she says.
