Hope for the Next Generation

The students that Sister Mary McCaffrey teaches fall into Generation Z — apathetic about organized religion, determining right and wrong by what they like and dislike, and unsure about what is ‘fake’ news. Yet at 89 years old, she has taken on the challenge of teaching them the sacraments and moral theology. “I tell them I’m not trying to bring them to Catholicism but rather, I’m teaching them wrong and right,” she says. A most important lesson for every generation at any time.

When you make a gift to the Sisters, you become a partner with Sister Mary in her ministry to teach young people moral theology.
