Love for St. Marianne Keeps Sisters in Kalaupapa

Sisters Alicia Damien Lau and Barbara Jean Wadja are committed to carrying on St. Marianne Cope’s legacy on Kalaupapa, the remote peninsula where people with Hansen’s disease (leprosy) were exiled in the 1800s. While just a few patients remain, Sisters Alicia and Barbara Jean care for Mother Marianne’s gravesite and the convent that remains and share Mother’s story with visitors to Kalaupapa, which is now a part of the National Parks Service.

Share St. Marianne’s story with Sisters Alicia Damien and Barbara Jean with a gift.
