Development

Our Mission
Realizing a long history of inviting others to share in the life and mission of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities, and grateful for the congregation's many supportive benefactors, a congregational Development Office was established.

The Development Office exists to advance and support our mission. It was established to enable us to serve the poor, to respond to unmet needs, to ensure that we will continue to have the resources to support our ministries and to provide care for our aging and infirm sisters, whose number is increasing.

Mission Partnerships
Our mission is made possible through the kindness and generosity of our good friends and benefactors who support us in our work through prayers and donations. We know that all we do is in partnership with others who support us. Your sacrifices, large and small, remind us of how wonderful you are, and we are always touched by your sincerity and kindness. We are indeed blessed to be able to count you in our circle of friends.

You have the ability to touch our lives in so many special ways. We invite you to share our life of prayer and service to others. We are extremely grateful for every gift that we receive, and appreciate how many people have been part of our journey over the years. We will most assuredly include you in our daily prayers.

Opportunities for Giving

Annual/Semi-Annual/Quarterly/Monthly Contributions

Our sisters rely on the generosity of so many in order to fulfill our mission and ministries. By sharing your prayers and financial support with our sisters, not only are you helping us in our work, you are actually taking an active role in the fulfillment of our mission – serving all God’s people, particularly those who are most in need.

Ways of Giving

Prayers
Prayers for our Sisters, our ministries and vocations are always welcomed.

Monetary Gifts
Cash gifts are simple to make, immediately effective and easily earmarked for our current needs. They are usually made by check, cash or credit card. Gifts to the Sisters of St. Francis are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

Gifts of Appreciated Stock
Gifts of appreciated stock may be transferred electronically or by transferring the stock certificate to us.

Life Insurance Policies
Life insurance policies provide another vehicle of giving. In donating a paid-up policy, which has outlived its original purpose, the donor can deduct the replacement value of the policy. By purchasing a new policy and naming the Sisters of St. Francis as owner and beneficiary, future premiums paid on the policy are deductible as cash contributions.

Gifts of Retirement Plan Assets
When you bequeath retirement plan assets to your heirs, you are leaving them heavily taxable assets. Bequeathing retirement plan assets to us will allow you to make a large gift without any tax consequences, saving other non-taxable assets for your heirs.

Bequests
Bequests in your will are a way many people choose to remember the Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities. You may do so in your will in several ways. You may specify a certain dollar amount, or as an alternative, leave us a percentage of your estate. Another option is to provide for your family first and still leave something for us by leaving us the residue of the estate. The residue is simply whatever is left of your assets after your other beneficiaries have received their bequests.
